Dear Teachers,This booklet is an eight-week practice reading activity for your students. It can be given as part of a lesson and the practice is then done at home. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes a lesson and again no more than 5 minutes as homework. It includes:
Phonic Practice Worksheets (sounds)
Sight Words Worksheets (global reading)
Short Sentences Worksheets
Comprehension Questions Worksheets
Part 1: The students try to read as many sounds in 60 seconds, this is done, for the first time, with the teacher. Then the students repeat the process at home, till they can read the whole page in the given time.
Part 2: The students try to read as many words (global reading) in the time given, this is done, for the first time, with the teacher. Then the students repeat the process at home, till they can read the whole page in the given time.
Part 3: The students try to read as many sentences in the time given, this is done, for the first time, with the teacher. Then the students repeat the process at home, till they can read the whole page in the given time.
Part 4: Do the activities/questions worksheets.
After the students practice all week at home, they can once again read each part to the teacher. Once each part has been completed in the given time the students move on to the next level.
