Real Life English – Conversation Starter
Help your students move from knowing English to actually using it in conversation.
This practical speaking booklet is designed for A2-level ESL students, especially 5th–7th graders. Through everyday situations, picture prompts, dialogues, role-plays, problem-solving activities and games, students practise how to ask questions, respond naturally and keep a conversation going.
Students practise real-life English for situations such as shopping, eating at a café, travelling, staying at a hotel, and more.
The activities gradually encourage students to become more independent. Starting with sentence prompts and model dialogues and moving towards creating their own conversations. 
The aim is simple: to help students feel confident enough to start a conversation, respond to someone and keep the conversation going in English.
